It’s now the season for holiday travel.  I enjoy both arrivals and departures, but I never look forward towards packing.  I think we all have experienced the pack syndrome. You did not pack enough (don’t have nearly what you needed) or You overpacked and have too much (enough to stay a few more days).  So what should your packing goal be? The ultimate goal is to have exactly what you need, exactly what you will use and exactly what you will wear. I hope you caught that…..

Avoid bringing anything that you realistically don’t need. This includes toiletries etc. that the hotel or your place of comfort may have. I think I am finally understanding that “Less is More”. You can mix & Match your clothing (color scheme, 1 neutral, 2 complements, accessories).  Do not allow pattern confusion. The rule is to select either all solids for the tops or all solids for the bottom.

Other Packing Tips:

1)   Choose your luggage size wisely. I always overpack when I use my large suitcase. At times it has been over weight at departure from home.

2)   Roll or tri- fold your clothing.

3)  Two-three pairs of shoes (one day…lol)

4)   Try to pack clothing that do not wrinkle easily; jersey, poly, knit,  etc. You can also wrap or layer wrinkly fabrics in plastic dry cleaning bags .  It helps!

5)   Planned workout Only: Bring workout gear (+exercise shoes)

6)   Ladies always bring a scarf or wrap/shawl no matter what season

7)   Be weather ready at all times. Know before you go! (forecast changes)
